New Years 2012

To wrap up this year we decided to go into downtown Chicago for a day. We visit the Children's Museum at Navy Pier and rang in the "noon years eve" there for the kids. Then we headed back to the hotel to swim, have dinner and watch the 8pm fireworks from our room which Aiden liked. We were able to share the night with Tom's family as well! Wishing all a Happy 2012!!

Christmas

This Christmas we were in town and had a lot of fun starting some family traditions. We made cookies with Aiden and started the Santa rituals.  Christmas eve we went to church and read the "night before Christmas" and left a note, cookies and milk for Santa. Santa brought a little tikes kitchen this year which Aiden likes and Claire enjoys chewing on the play food! We also added some of our family Christmas photos and Claire's 6 month photo (pink bow).

Thanksgiving

This year we hosted our first Thanksgiving meal at our house. It was pretty exciting to finally use our wedding china, new dining room table, prepare a turkey and have so many family be able to join us. It was a special year and we are looking forward to many more! We also were able to visit Tom's grandma, Lillian, who is 97. We love to take the kids to see her whenever we can.

Winter 2011

This winter we stayed busy. Claire turned 6 months and is sitting up very well. We also started solid foods and she is a good eater, Lindsay has been making her food again. Both kids have been in swim classes and we really enjoy those.  Aiden has moved into the booster seat at the table and started potty training in December.   It is going very well and we are super proud of him! He also went bowling for the first time. We went to the Kohl's Children's Museum in Glenview, which was alot of fun. The kids are playing more together too which we love to see!

Halloween

For Halloween this year the kids went as a shark and cupcake. We had fun trick-or-treating in Lindsay's parents neighborhood and in our neighborhood with friends. Tom and I also dressed up as pirates. This was the first year Aiden understood the candy concept, being with neighbor kids and loved tootsie rolls.
